As of September 17, 2010, Grass Lake State Forest Campground is now under the management of Colfax Township. This campground contains 15 sites for tent and small trailer use. All sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations. Located on Grass Lake Flooding with access to the Betsie River. Boating, canoeing, and fishing. Vault toilets and well.

Trail Distance:

Platte Springs (9 miles NW): 2.5 miles of hilly terrain with the interpretive trail at Platte River State Forest Campground. Hike and mountain bike.

Directions:

Benzie County – 10 miles NE of Thompsonville via Co Road 669 and Wallin Road
