Aloha State Park is a 107-acre (43.3 ha) state park in Cheboygan County, Michigan on the northeast side of Mullett Lake. The park is 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Cheboygan and 25 miles (40 km) from Mackinac City. The average temperature in the summer is 70 °F (21 °C).

Mullett Lake is at the center of the Inland Lakes Waterways; campsites are near the park’s boat launch for those traveling this route. The park has 285 campsites available from May 1 – November 1. There is a 15-day stay maximum, with allowances for 8 people/site and 2 cars or trucks/site. Visitors are permitted 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The park was created in 1923, with Cheboygan County initially purchasing eight acres of abandoned railroad land, and thereafter purchasing another twenty acres of vacant land in order to reach the 28 acres minimum then required for the establishment of a state park.

Features:

• Playground – These play areas offer a variety of playground equipment for children.
  Three play areas contain a softball field, horseshoe pits a volleyball court, and a basketball court.
• Swimming – Mullett Lake Beach. Beaches have sandy bottoms and gentle incline from the shore to the picnic area.
• Fishing – Anglers will find walleye, smallmouth bass, pike, bluegill, yellow perch, lake trout, and sturgeon in Mullett Lake. Ice fishing is also a popular winter sport in the park.

• Hiking – Mackinaw to Hawks Rails to Trails runs through Aloha State Park. The primary surface of the trail is gravel. During the summer this trail is non-motorized and used for hiking, and biking. During the winter months, the trail is groomed for snowmobiling.
• Biking – During the summer this trail is non-motorized and used for hiking, equestrian, and biking.
• Boating Access Site/Launch – Access for boating and fishing. Part of the Inland Waterway, Mullett Lake is at the heart of the 38-mile water trail. See information about the water trail listed below on this page. The basin around the launch site provides a protected harbor for boats of various sizes.
• Metal Detecting Areas – Metal detecting is recognized as a legitimate recreation activity when it is conducted in ways that do not damage the natural and cultural resources in Michigan State Parks nor violate applicable state statutes. If you wish to use a metal detector in this state park, here is a map that shows clearly where this activity may take place. Any items found must be reviewed by park staff and may be retained for further investigation.
